Post DDS texture files
Maybe I miss this feature, but I can't load models which include DDS texture format file.
Could be include in next version?
(please excuse me for my english if i'm ununderstandable, it's not my natal langage . thanks)

Hello,
No problem about your language, English is not my natal language to.

You doesn't miss a feature, GLC_Player don't support DDS texture format file.
GLC_Player use QT4 to load images and QT4 doesn't support this format.

So I don't plan to support images format that are not supported by QT4.

4.6 seems to support DDS , see the doc...

GLuint QGLContext::bindTexture ( const QString & fileName )
This is an overloaded function.

Reads the compressed texture file fileName and generates a 2D GL texture from it.

This function can load DirectDrawSurface (DDS) textures in the DXT1, DXT3 and DXT5 DDS formats if the GL_ARB_texture_compression and GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc extensions are supported.

Since 4.6.1, textures in the ETC1 format can be loaded if the GL_OES_compressed_ETC1_RGB8_texture extension is supported and the ETC1 texture has been encapsulated in the PVR container format. Also, textures in the PVRTC2 and PVRTC4 formats can be loaded if the GL_IMG_texture_compression_pvrtc extension is supported.

eric_vi is absolety right Qt 4.6 support DDS texture... but Qt 4.6 cannot create QImage with DDS Texture file.
And actually, GLC_lib need QImage to create GLC_Texture for 2 reasons :
    - GLC_lib save texture as QImage in GLC_BSRep class
    - with GLC_lib, it's possible to load file before having OpenGL context (Using glc_lib in a batch process)

So at this moment I have not enought time to find good solution for this problem.

Thanks for Answering.
For immediat use, i'll can survive without DDS supporting. I extract the model without his texture and it's work perfectly. I only need 3D views of the model.
For others uses, i'll wait for upgrades of QT and growing of your free time.
(What?? Freetime have an inverted growing?? It going smaller? Argh!)
